HIXNY Appoints Vice President, Finance Manager, Project Manager, Membership Coordinator
ALBANY, NY (June , 2009) – Healthcare Information Xchange of New York (HIXNY), a not-for-profit organization comprised of local physician groups, hospitals, health care associations, health plans and other health care organizations announced today that it has appointed Scott Momrow as vice president; Debra Hamway as finance manager; Cynthia Rinaldi as project manager; and Kim Sapienza as membership coordinator.
Scott Momrow, M.P.H., has been named vice president and will be responsible for managing operations, member outreach and vendor management. Prior to being named vice president, Momrow worked with HIXNY as an independent product consultant. Previously he was vice president of sales and marketing for nfrastructure technologies; held several management positions with National Medical Health Card Systems, Inc. including vice president of strategic data management services; and served as director of solutions consulting and regional sales director for Integrail. Momrow earned a master’s of public health degree from the State University of New York at Albany and a bachelor’s degree in biology from Siena College.
Debra Hamway, CPA has been named finance manager and will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of financial controls at HIXNY. Most recently, Hamway served as vice president for finance and administration for Upper Hudson Planned Parenthood. She has also held financial management positions with Daughters of Sarah Nursing Home, Seton Health System, Margaretville Memorial Hospital, Capital Living & Rehabilitation Centre, and Coopers & Lybrand (now PricewaterhouseCoopers). Hamway earned a master’s degree in accountancy at the State University of New York at Albany and a bachelor’s degree in mathematics at the College of Saint Rose.
Cynthia Rinaldi has been named project manager and will be responsible for ensuring that project activities within HIXNY, its members, and its vendors are appropriately coordinated and meet project deadlines. Prior to joining HIXNY, Rinaldi worked at nfrastructure technologies as manager of the project management office. She has also worked in project management positions for the New York Independent System Operator, Health Solutions, Ltd., and Integrail. In 2005, Rinaldi was certified as a Project Management Professional by the Project Management Institute.
Kim Sapienza has been named membership coordinator and is responsible for providing support to all HIXNY operational and governance areas, as well as membership retention and growth. Sapienza most recently worked for CORESense, Inc. and also held positions with Lexis Nexis, Empire Blue Cross and Blue Shield and New York State Electric and Gas. She brings over 20 years of customer service and support experience to HIXNY.
