HIXNY Expands Outreach into Community Clinical Settings
Searching for Health IT Adoption Specialists
ALBANY, NY (April 7, 2010) - Healthcare Information Xchange of New York (HIXNY), a not-for-profit organization comprised of local physician groups, hospitals, health care associations, health plans, institutions of higher learning, government, employers and other healthcare entities announced today that it is expanding its outreach into community clinical settings and searching for health IT adoption specialists.
Health IT adoption specialists will assist physicians and other clinicians in the Capital Region and northern New York with implementation and adoption of HIXNY's clinical solutions including the health information exchange and e-prescribing platform. Health IT adoption specialists will provide needs assessment, planning, training, and support to physicians and their staffs.
"HIXNY will supply all the tools and support that physicians need to adopt HIXNY's secure, electronic service for exchanging health information among hospitals and other physicians," stated HIXNY CEO Dominick Bizzarro. "We're looking for outgoing, energetic, and confident people with an interest in this new technology and improving health care in our community."
