– A North Country behavioral health provider joins the health information exchange. –

ALBANY, N.Y. – Hixny connected a new healthcare provider organization to the community-wide health information exchange (HIE) in February, further expanding the availability of patient records to the statewide healthcare community and to individual healthcare consumers.

The new connection is:

  • Community, Work & Independence, Inc., a nonprofit community rehabilitation provider serving people with differing abilities and needs across four counties from its base in Glens Falls, N.Y.

The new connection is contributing data using Consolidated-Clinical Document Architecture (C-CDA). This is the industry standard format for exchanging clinical information, including quantitative data such as lab results and qualitative data such as progress and imaging reports, consult and referral notes, and more.
